Taste the Tropics

Use OGC’s Merchandising Tools to Educate & Drive Sales

Take shoppers on a mid-winter tropical taste-cation in the produce aisle by adding excitement and color to displays. Bringing in a delicious variety of tropical and sub-tropical organic fruits for your sets is a great way to grow category sales. The wide and vibrant range of fruits available adds visual interest and appeal to the department beyond citrus during the long winter months, boosting basket size. Need some merchandising tips? Try anchoring tropical displays with a large central display of a core, heavily shopped item, like bananas or a mango promotion. Then, add pops of color with small side displays of unique items to stop shoppers in their tracks, creating conversations and driving impulse purchases. Be sure to bring in these colorful favorites and give eaters some tropical bliss in every bite.
