Here’s the breakdown, per hour, for 2023:
$17: Our minimum base pay.
$2.70: Benefit contributions to medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability.
$0.49: Employment taxes we cover.
$0.38: Profit share value.
So overall, in 2023, we paid at least $20.57 per hour, which is $1.28 shy of living wage. This doesn’t include other perks, like the free and discounted produce we provide to coworkers.
Last year, we brought in an advisor that assessed how close we are to living wage, and where we can improve. They reviewed our benefits package and helped us understand what a living wage really means. The data and recommendations will inform how we can work towards our goal of a living wage for all coworkers.
