Meet OGC Mission Fund Recipient: Climate Collaborative

Today, March 7, is Climate Day at Natural Products Expo West. Every year, the Climate Collaborative brings together thought leaders from the natural products world to inspire, offer advice and bridge connections. This event is an essential part of the Climate Collaborative’s mission, which focuses on leveraging the power of the natural products industry to reverse climate change through policy advocacy and an engaging commitment program.

Like us, our customers and growers care deeply about the environment and are alarmed about the climate related changes we’re seeing. OGC believes in the Climate Collaborative’s strategic approach and dedication to leading action. To sustain their work, we awarded them a 2022 Mission Fund grant. Over 700 companies have pledged climate action, including OGC, and the Climate Collaborative is looking at how to turn this commitment into meaningful action.

“We set out to be a catalyst for change in the natural products industry,” shared Courtney Pineau, executive director of the Climate Collaborative. “How do we take that momentum and make sure that companies are supported in achieving their commitments? Climate change is here now. We have a decisive decade ahead to do as much as we can for the planet.”
