It’s Peak NW Melon Season!

OGC coworkers visited growers across the Northwest last week to check on this year’s harvests of Oregon and Washington-grown melons. From the Willamette Valley to Eltopia, Washington and Hermiston, Oregon organic melon magic is happening across the region and now’s the time to go big on these tasty varieties!

Classic Melons

Seedless watermelon and mini watermelon, black seedless watermelon, cantaloupe and green honeydew are on in a big way! Sweet and luscious, these classic varieties are the foundation to every great melon set.

Specialty Melons

The full line up is being harvested and what a dazzling array of sizes, colors and shapes! Don’t miss Canary, Charentais, Galia, Piel de Sapo, Snow Leopard and Tuscan.

Dry Farm Melons

OGC’s dry farm melon trial has been fruitful, and the first harvest has started. Look for a limited number of dry farm Crenshaw and Sugar Cube to start, followed by Charentais, Piel de Sapo and Sharlyn. Give these melons a try and be sure to share feedback with your Account Rep.

Curious to know more about each variety? OGC’s Melon Toolkit is here to help. And, let your Account Rep know you want to go big on Northwest melons!
