PORTLAND, Ore. — November 3, 2026 – Organically Grown Company (OGC), a leading distributor of certified organic fresh produce, has acquired Heath & Lejeune, a Los Angeles-area organic produce wholesale distribution and logistics company. The acquisition brings together two established businesses with deep roots in the organic produce industry and a longstanding supply chain partnership.

Founded in 1981, Heath & Lejeune, also known as Soully Organic, is based in Commerce, California. The company supplies certified organic fruits and vegetables to retailers, grocery chains and other distributors. Its operations include a 43,000-square-foot warehouse facility, plus produce consolidation and logistics services that connect growing regions with trading partners across the United States and Canada.

The acquisition expands OGC's presence in California and creates opportunities to build a more connected, efficient organic produce distribution network. The acquisition was completed through a stock purchase. Both companies are privately held, and the transaction's financial terms will not be disclosed.

"OGC and Heath & Lejeune have worked together for decades, and we've long respected their expertise and commitment to organic agriculture," said Brenna Davis, CEO of Organically Grown Company. "This is an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths of two businesses that share a belief in the future of organic. By bringing our teams and capabilities together, we see tremendous potential to serve our customers and growers, strengthen our supply chain and support the continued growth of organic agriculture."

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, OGC serves retailers, foodservice operators and other customers throughout the Western United States. The company is owned by the Sustainable Food & Agriculture Perpetual Purpose Trust, an ownership structure designed to protect its mission to grow the organic agriculture movement and ensure the business operates for the benefit of its stakeholders.

Heath & Lejeune was founded by Southern California produce veterans Pat Lejeune and Harland Heath. Over more than four decades the company has built a reputation for service with integrity.

"From the beginning, Heath & Lejeune has been about building relationships and supporting organic growers," said Rick Lejeune, CEO of Heath & Lejeune. "We've known and worked with OGC for a long time and share a deep commitment to organic agriculture. Bringing our businesses together creates an opportunity to build on that commitment. OGC is the standard bearer for the organic movement, and we are honored to follow in their footsteps."

OGC is taking a phased approach to integrating the businesses over the coming year. Initially, Heath & Lejeune and OGC will continue operating separately, focusing on business continuity, strong relationships and exceptional customer service.

"This is a significant step in OGC's evolution, and our approach will be grounded in the same values that have guided our business growth for decades," Davis added. "We're committed to listening, learning and bringing these organizations together in a way that respects the people, partnerships and expertise that have made each successful."

The transaction was supported by ImpactGC, a law firm specializing in legal services for mission-driven businesses, following an introduction facilitated by Steward Market, a platform connecting values-aligned businesses and transaction partners.
