Rooted in Organic. Growing Together.

OGC welcomes longtime partner Heath & Lejeune into an exciting new chapter

If nearly five decades in organic produce have taught us anything, it's that lasting progress is built on relationships. Between growers and buyers, businesses and communities, and people who believe organic agriculture has an important role to play in our future.

Today, those relationships are helping us take an exciting step forward.

Organically Grown Company has acquired Heath & Lejeune (H&L), a Southern California organic produce distributor and logistics company we've known, respected and worked alongside for decades.

Like OGC, H&L has deep roots in the organic movement. Founded in 1981, the company has spent more than four decades connecting organic growers with markets across North America. From its home in Commerce, California, H&L brings extensive sourcing, distribution and logistics expertise, an 83,000-square-foot warehouse, and, most importantly, a team of people and relationships that have helped make the business what it is today.

Why are we excited about this next chapter? Because we believe we're stronger together.

This acquisition is an investment in OGC's future and our shared commitment to growing organic agriculture. By bringing together our experience, complementary strengths and longstanding relationships, we see new opportunities to better serve growers and customers, strengthen the organic supply chain and help organic thrive.

Bringing two established businesses together takes time and care.

For now, both organizations will continue operating as they do today. Over the coming year, we'll take a thoughtful, phased approach to integration, starting with listening, learning and getting to know the people and practices that make each business successful.

We're grateful for the trust and partnerships that have brought us to this moment, and excited about what we'll build together.

Here's to deep roots, new possibilities and a bright future for organic.
