Together with OGC’s Lynn Coody, Bernadine helped write the OGC Blueberry Handbook—a top to bottom resource for organic blueberry growers in the Northwest. A physical copy of the handbook would remain in co-founder David Lively’s desk for the next couple of decades.

KTA supports small farmers and ranchers who use organic practices and are focused on environmental and social change in the food system. Their vision is to rebuild a food system rooted in community, justice and ecological responsibility. To make this vision a reality, KTA makes it a priority to work with owners of small farms and ranches who have historically been excluded from resources and recognition within our food system – namely the BIPOC, women, low-income, immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities.
